the art of writing letters

DSCN1224

Instant gratification or the joy of receiving something you’ve been waiting days for? Quickly tapping a response on a keyboard or taking a moment to thoughtfully compose a sentence in your head before putting pen to paper? I love texting, emailing and Facebook messaging. But whether it’s the written correspondences between me and my mom when I was in college, hand-writing and mailing thank-you cards, or my current pen pal-ship with my halfway-across-the-country buddy Kit, I don’t think the art of writing letters has completely gone out of style yet.
